How far in advance should I book a car in Tbilisi?

For most dates, booking 5 to 7 days before your trip is usually enough. During the busiest times of the year, it is better to book earlier because there may be fewer cars available.

The main summer season in Tbilisi runs from June through August and into early September. Demand is especially high during this period, so booking 1.5 to 2 months in advance gives you more choice.

For New Year and Christmas, it is a good idea to book around 4 to 6 weeks ahead. Easter, the May holidays and Tbilisoba in October can also be busy, so booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance is a safer option.

Economy cars are often among the most popular choices because they are usually cheaper and easier to park on Tbilisi’s busy central streets. If you want a particular car or are planning a trip during the summer season, it is better not to wait until the last few days.

In general, the earlier you know your travel dates, the more choice you will have. For a summer trip, booking your car well in advance is especially useful.
